Judging experience

Aleksandar has extensive experience officiating at numerous national and international HEMA tournaments, covering both qualifying and elimination matches all the way to final bouts. He is well versed in a number of different afterblow, first touch and priority/RoW rulesets.

He has acted as a judge/referee at Swordplay, Steel&Chill, Sofia CrossSwords, Sofia Longsword Open, Megdan, Intermezzo, Duke's Cup, EFC, Steel's Edge, a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/szko%C5%82a-podstawowa-nr-37-im-gen-mariusza-zaruskiego-w-bielsku-bia%C5%82ej/fechtberg-2026-poker-armory-cup/1354392806402481/">Fechtberg and a wide variety of local and in-club events.

Ristić has also assisted Jelena Arsenijević in training judges and Marko Kalanj in training scorekeepers for many events in the region.

He has dealt with longsword, light longsword, saber, single sidesword, sidesword&buckler, rapier, rapier and dagger, arming sword, sword&buckler, smallsword as well as mixed all single handed weapons disciplines in formal settings.

In informal settings his judging training also dealt with miodao, katana, dagger, messer&buckler, dual rapier, dual sidesword, dual saber, sidesword&dagger, sidesword&rotella, arming sword&heater shield, halberd, spear, partisan etc.
